Miguel Angel Castillo is an internationally recognized scientific researcher, inspirational speaker, and adviser, best known for his involvement and contribution to the United States Space Program. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with advanced studies in Aeronautics and Aviation, from the University of Texas. For over 5 years, Miguel has been a lead engineer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, and is currently in the selection process to become a US astronaut. Currently, he has undergone 40 hours of training in core astronaut operations and written over 15 publications for NASA.

 

Miguel’s work at NASA incorporates a variety of skills including engineering, astronaut training, and scientific research.  In the field of engineering, Miguel develops, tests, and certifies space hardware, and also creates inventions that help protect astronauts from the harsh environments of space. Today, even some of his inventions can be found on board the International Space Station.  Using the hardware he develops, Miguel trains the astronauts on how to use the equipment and supports them real-time as they perform spacewalks.  Miguel also looks to the future at NASA by conducting scientific research, including microgravity research on ZERO-G flights and research to understand the behavior of materials in the vacuum of space.  All of Miguel’s contributions to the space program advances NASA’s overall goal of expanding human presence in space.

 

In the spring of 2001, at the age of nineteen, Miguel was diagnosed with Degenerative Cerebellar Multiple Sclerosis (MS). After being told he had MS, Miguel began his search to find the cause and cure of his illness. Multiple doctor’s visits and tests ensued, but little could be done to bring Miguel’s body back to wellness. After one-and-a-half years of having lost function to over half of his body, during an unforgettable dream, Miguel received one of his greatest gifts: the secret to his healing. Little did he know that receiving the cure was only the start of a journey to find his greatest gift, the gift of finding his true self.

 

For the next eleven years, Miguel devoted most of his time and energy to learning many forms of healing from around the world. He became an adept student and teacher of Eastern Psycho-physiological Treatment Protocols, having achieved various heightened states of self-actualization. Miguel’s devotion to the calling of being a bridge between East, West, and the stars has led him to the study of areas such as Chinese Traditional, Ayurvedic, and Alternative Medicine, Parapsychology, Hypnosis, Emotional Release Therapy, Feng Shui, Astronomy, Divination, Shamanism, Psychodynamics, and Meditation, among others.

 

Miguel’s interest in public speaking began in 2008 when he started his work as a speaker for the NASA Education Outreach Program, addressing K-12 grade students. Soon after, he became a one-on-one mentor to high school and college students. In 2010, Miguel began his career as an inspirational speaker, bringing his message to Fortune 500 companies, colleges, and audiences across North, Central, and South America, and Asia. His lectures have covered a wide range of topics including technological innovation, teamwork, entrepreneurship, healing, relationships, sacred sexuality, manifestation, meditation, and many more. Also, Miguel has been featured on nationwide television, and a series of local radio stations and newspapers.

 

With his passion for science and discovery, Miguel has developed a unique learning and teaching style focused on the principals of hope, positivism, and logical reasoning. His love for the Hispanic Culture and his proficiency in Spanish have allowed him to reach far beyond the borders of his native US. Miguel’s miraculous healing story and life lessons have touched the hearts of thousands around the world.
